Celebrating our first anniversary

Patchwork: A Memoir of Love and Loss, happy first anniversary to you! To us!

The publication date for Patchwork was one year ago this week. In my life, anniversaries have been of marriages, graduations, the birth of a child, deaths, and other memorable or sentimental moments of all our lives. This anniversary is so unanticipated and such a joy to celebrate, especially accompanied by my publisher.

Why, you might wonder? For years, I thought I could never tell the story, an unbelievable journey through repressed memories, sexual abuse, and healing. If you’d like to read an overview of the memoir, go here:

Today, I also celebrate the lives of all in our world that the book has reached thus far. To honor October as National Book Month, my publisher, She Writes Press, Written Word Media, and SparkPress have partnered to promote a special event to honor reading and to support authors. In particular they are focusing on spotlighting debut female novelists. If you click on this link, NewInBooks.com landing page, you’ll find 50 books on sale for .99 cents until October 28th. I hope you will check out all these recent authors and books and let your friends know, also.

I’m grateful that Patchwork has this opportunity to spread her wings even wider to reach more readers. My hope? That Patchwork reaches all who have been touched by or connect with this journey of repressed memories, sexual abuse, and healing.
